The canvas and tools

Your screenshot appears on the canvas. Choose a tool to add an arrow, shape, highlight, text, numbered step, pen mark, or privacy treatment. When an object is selected, use its available properties to adjust its appearance.

A fast editing workflow

  1. Decide what the viewer should notice first.
  2. Add one strong visual cue, such as an arrow or highlight.
  3. Add short text only when the image cannot explain the action by itself.
  4. Check the entire image for sensitive information.
  5. Copy, save, or export the finished result.

Select and refine

Select an annotation before changing its color, size, placement, or other available properties. Keep annotations away from the content they describe so the original interface remains readable.

Keep the message focusedOne screenshot should usually explain one task or decision. If the image needs many competing callouts, consider using numbered steps or separate captures.
